What is Health and Wellness Coaching?

"Health and Wellness Coaches partner with clients seeking self-directed, lasting changes, aligned with their values, which promote health and wellness and, thereby, enhance well-being.  In the course of their work health and wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change, and honoring that each client is an expert on his or her life, while insuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental" (National Consortium for Credentialing Health and Wellness Coaches)


As your coach, it is my job to work with you as a partner on your journey to greater health and wellbeing.  The process will help you identify the areas of wellness where you would like to be supported and encouraged, and set measurable goals to help you stay on track.  As a coach I do not diagnose or treat mental or physical illness, and may refer a client to outside professionals when appropriate. 

What is the free discovery session?

I offer a free 30 minute phone session to learn about your wellness concerns and desires, and to further discuss the coaching process and additional questions you may have.  I want you to feel excited and ready for the life changing experience that coaching can provide, and make sure that the process will be a good fit for you.

What is a private coaching session like, and how often is coaching recommended?

Private coaching sessions are 50 minutes. Clients have the option to meet by video conference or phone in the comfort of their own home. Coaching is a collaborative process, where client's are encouraged to be open and reflective about their concerns and future goals.  I will guide the process and help you to work toward positive short and long term wellness outcomes. Though client's may be working toward some short term goals, those willing to take small steps over time will establish the skills and habits most related to longterm success. Client's are generally most successful with regular sessions (weekly, or every other week) for the first 3-6 months.  I offer short 30 minute follow up sessions to established clients who are ready to move on but would like to maintain regular check-ins on an as needed basis.

What is the Teen Wellness Program

I offer a live (Longmont, CO) 6 week group program for teens that supports them through a process of understanding how their own health and wellness is influenced by various factors. They will reflect on their strengths, identify areas for growth, set new goals and have fun meeting new friends.  We will cover topics such as sleep, technology, stress management, nutrition/exercise, organizational habits, and healthy friendships. For teens and college aged students who do not live in the area or are unable to attend the live class, I offer convenient private coaching by video or phone conference.
